Franklin University, located in Columbus, Ohio is seeking part-time adjunct faculty members to teach our MBA Managerial Economics course in Oman. The course will be offered in a hybrid format from July 30th through September 16th with traveling in-country dates being from August 20th-August 30th. This course surveys the fundamental concepts and methods of economic analysis for managers. Real-world decision making is emphasized. Application of key economic concepts such as market demand, market supply, market equilibrium, marginal analysis, production, costs, revenue, profit, and market structure constitute the core material of the course.
The successful candidate will possess a doctoral degree (D.B.A. or Ph.D. in Economics, Agricultural Economics, Finance or related field preferred) with 18 graduate credit hours in Economics, Financial Economics, Business Economics, Agricultural Economics, Business or related field and a minimum of one year of experience teaching related courses in higher education. In addition, he/she should have seven years of managerial experience involving operations in product and/or financial markets and business cycles as well as knowledge and application of core concepts and theories of managerial economics. A CPA, CCP, CMA, PHR, CFA, CTP, FRM or comparable professional certification would be a plus in this position.
