Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Director of the Academic Resource Center, the Mathematics Specialist/Testing Administrator is responsible for planning, supervising, and teaching in the basic skills program; proctoring and scoring placement tests for entering freshmen; placing students according to campus guidelines; and working in the basic skills mathematics programs at the Academic Resource Center.  
 
Required Qualifications:
1.     Master’s degree in education, mathematics, or related field.  
 
2.     Significant experience in developmental education; experience in teaching at the college level.  
 
3.     Ability to manage and test large numbers of freshmen using Accuplacer online testing application.  
 
4.     Experience in utilizing computer systems for word processing, data management, and other applications.  Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Blackboard, Kurzweil, and Datatel a plus.  
 
5.     Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills.  
 
6.     Employment is contingent upon satisfactory background check.  Candidates for hire will be required to sign a waiver authorizing the background check.
