The Mathematics Curriculum Specialist will use evidence-based instructional practices to craft, deliver, and support professional learning experiences for participating educators. The coordinator will help educators adopt and grow learner-centered instructional practices to foster higher-order thinking through real-world connections and substantive conversations that increase the learner's depth of knowledge. This incumbent's job tasks will include:

- Evidence-Based Practice

- Project Management
Job Requirements
---
Required Education: Bachelor Degree or equivalent combination of education/job related experience, AND:
- 18-36 months of experience in an educational setting
Skills:
- Highly organized and able to handle multiple projects and deadlines
- Able to communicate well and build rapport quickly with students, faculty and staff
- Knowledge of instructional theories and design processes
- Knowledge of learning principles
Certifications:
- None
Advertised Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to engage in repetitive motion and communicate effectively.
Departmental Preferences:
- 4 or more years of teaching in a mathematics secondary classroom
- Experience as a team leader, dept chair, curriculum coordinator, and/or instructional coach
- Demonstrated experience in development of math curriculum and/or professional learning experiences
