Maternal & Infant Health Consulting (M&IHC) is a woman-owned social impact consulting firm whose mission is to bridge the gap between global health research and implementation. To achieve that mission, we focus our work on research, facilitation, and communications in the areas of reproductive health, nutrition, and community health. M&IHC has worked in over 45 countries across Africa, Asia, and Latin America. M&IHC’s Hub of Global Health Independent Contractors are trusted by a diverse array of clients, including Population Services International (PSI) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). M&IHC is hiring a part-time and remote Program Associate for January 2022 – June 2022, with a flexible start and end date.
Description of Services
● Research
○ Supporting M&IHC’s projects, and the Hub of Independent Contractors executing those projects, through writing and editing global health documents
○ Short Research Projects, including Literature Reviews
○ Short Research Projects, including data cleaning (e.g. Stata, Excel) and programing surveys
● Communications
○ Writing Case Studies on M&IHC’s current projects for inclusion on our website, presentation decks, and other communications materials
○ Generating and posting content for social media, including LinkedIn and Twitter
○ Creating images for social media via Canva
○ Updating M&IHC’s Squarespace website
● Business Development
○ Responding to business development requests and identifying priority opportunities for M&IHC based on relevance to M&IHC’s stated mission and business development priorities. This will include supporting the creation of applications, including leveraging M&IHC’s templates to draft cover letters and other application materials
Logistics
● 15-20 hours per week
● Initial Contract: January 2022 – June 2022
● 100% remote work
● Flexible deadlines
● Reports to M&IHC’s Director

Skills/Eligibility:

Qualifications
● Bachelor’s Degree, in a relevant field
● Experience working in global public health, ideally in one or more of M&IHC’s core areas
● Experience conducting research, including literature reviews
● Strong writing and editing skills
● Strong organizational and communications skills
● Fluent in English
