The University of Miami is currently seeking a Satellite Support Coordinator to work at UHealth Kendall. The incumbent takes a lead role in ensuring that all supplies are purchased, received, inspected, distributed, and stored in the applicable facility locations. In addition, he/she oversees and trains junior staff to ensure compliance with applicable quality standards. This position supports SCCC/UMHC and CHDS clinics.

CORE JOB FUNCTIONS

1.Serve as department main point of contact when Manager is not available, performing administrative tasks and  collaborating with clinical leadership to make decisions.
2. Serves as a resource to the Director and Office Manager related to building maintenance and property needs.  Reports any broken or damaged equipment so that repairs may be made.
3. Maintain a log of all work orders submitted for follow-up with Facilities Manager on a regular basis.
4. Submit surplus work orders, as needed. 
5. Conducts regular rounds/inspections for life safety and preventive maintenance. Communicate any issues or potential violations to satellite Director and safety officer. 
6. Responsible for assuring that all work areas and storage areas are maintained in a safe and proper appearance.
7. Support onsite regulatory inspection visits/Joint Commission and HIPAA. Serve as liaison to the satellite safety officer for regulatory compliance. 
8. Purchases office supplies, kitchen supplies, and coffee supplies. Maintain accurate inventory of supplies. 
9. Orders linen to guarantee delivery of clean linen weekly. 
10. Communicate with the departments regarding any change in movement of products, such as overstocking of items or slow-moving items. 
11. Maintains all order related documentation and tracking information. Assures that the supplies are charged to the appropriate department. 
12. Reviews product use and coordinates ordering. 
13. Works with other departments to resolve inventory and supply orders issues, ensure timely deliveries, communicate backorders, and address stop shipments or credit holds.
14. Responsible for ensuring an accurate inventory and managing storeroom. 
15. Facilitates distribution of operational supplies to various departments. 
16. Develops and maintains effective relationships with key clinical leaders regarding supply related initiatives and inventory management. 
17. Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets

CORE QUALIFICATIONS 
 
Education: 
High School diploma or equivalent required
 
Experience: 
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
