Summary of Essential Duties: 

  • Oversees the day-to-day product inventory operations for designated peri-operative areas 
  • Collaborates with medical and nursing staff and all areas of Support Services including (but not limited to) Central Issues, Purchasing, Warehouse, Receiving, Billing, Processing, Clinical Engineering and information Systems 
  • Responsible for inventory functions and product and/or accounting discrepancies as a result of those functions 
  • Provides daily operational analysis through maintenance of automated information systems 
  • Forecasts inventory utilization based on standard acceptable par levels. Recommends inventory consumption control measures
  • Responsible for determining usage, lead time, safety stock, MIN and MAX quantity for all inventory as assigned

Education: 

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Associate's degree preferred 

Experience:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in Materials Management, Shipping/Receiving/Distribution required
  • Hospital inventory experience preferred
  • Computer literacy in word processing and spreadsheet applications required

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds required
