Purpose

Driver position responsible for helping with deliveries & pickups out of the MRC tower building.  This position supports all four areas within the Document Solutions umbrella.


Responsibilities

  • Assists in receiving, sorting, processing and distributing incoming and outgoing packages. Expedites processed by making decisions for efficiency.

  • Provides the clerical skills in receiving materials and the delivery of materials.

  • Assists with the preparation of outgoing shipments.

  • Operates university vehicle when making pickups and deliveries on predetermined schedules and routes. Records vehicle mileage and reports all accidents and maintenance of vehicle (cleaning and repairs) to immediate supervisor or appropriate personnel.

  • Performs duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications

High school diploma or GED.  Six months of work experience. Familiarity with office and warehouse equipment, stock handling and maintaining records. Demonstrated organization and time management skills, including the ability to minimize the workload of others. Ability to adapt to change and maintain flexibility. Ability to communicate with customers and provide a high level of customer service. Ability to work in a team environment which includes, receive direction, cooperate with supervisor, co-workers, and work independently.

Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.


Preferred Qualifications

One year of direct work experience with warehouse equipment, stock handling and maintaining records.  Delivery driver experience.  Box Truck driving experience.


Driving Required

This job requires a class "C" operator's driver's license. The applicant selected must provide a current three year driving record from the current state of residence. If not currently a Texas resident, a Texas driver's license must be obtained within 30 days of becoming a Texas resident. Employees who are required to have a CDL are subject to drug and alcohol testing (pre-employment, post-accident, reasonable suspicion, random, return-to-duty, and follow-up drug and alcohol testing).


Salary Range

$41,600 + depending on qualifications
