Job Description

Installs, maintains, and repairs over 400 different pieces of commercial food service equipment such as refrigeration equipment, water cooled ice machines, gas and electric cooking equipment, dishwashing and pot washing machines, and commercial appliances. Utilizes wiring diagrams, blueprints, manufactured specifications, hand and power tools, testing meters and calibrators, and welding equipment to provide diagnoses and repairs. Assists Supervisor/ Manager with planning/implementing preventive maintenance programs. Will provide hands on training to support the needs of the operations.


Required Qualifications

• Considerable experience in maintenance and repair of commercial food service equipment.
• Education/training in food service equipment repair, electronics, and refrigeration/electrical repair.
• Ability to operate and analyze information from testing equipment.
• Working knowledge of computers to submit and close work orders.
• Virginia Journeyman electrical license or license recognized by the state of Virginia required.
• To obtain universal EPA refrigeration certification within 6 months of employment.


Preferred Qualifications

• Associates degree and or master's electrician certification in a trades occupation certified in Virginia or a license recognized by the state of Virginia plus type III or universal EPA refrigeration certification.


Salary Information

$50,000 - $60,000/year and commensurate with experience

The successful candidate will be required to have a criminal conviction check as well as a driving check with a safe driving record.
