Marketing Project Manager (Public Info Coord), Minimum Salary: $41,258 per year, USC Aiken Marketing & Communication
Reporting to the Creative Director, the Marketing Project Manager partners with colleagues throughout the university to plan and manage marketing and creative projects. The Marketing Project Manager is a skilled problem solver with the ability to communicate effectively (verbally and in writing) with a variety of stakeholders, has a positive attitude, and displays a willingness and flexibility to help meet department/university goals in any capacity. Efficiency and expert-level organizational skills are a must—managing expectations is as important as managing projects. This individual takes initiative and is results oriented. The Marketing Project Manager works closely with the Director of Marketing, Creative Director, and business partners to define project goals and identify metrics for success. The Marketing Project Manager develops processes, milestones, and timelines to create and write project plans that ensure projects meet objectives and expectations, taking appropriate action to overcome obstacles where necessary. The Marketing Project Manager will coordinate resources and manage cross-functional project teams. The Marketing Project Manager will liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis and report on progress to the appropriate audiences using the appropriate tools, guaranteeing quality data in our project management system. The marketing project manager will also develop quantitative reports to assist leadership in understanding project impact. Minimum requirements: A bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in a business or communication discipline is required and at least one year of related experience. Some evening and weekend hours may be required. Knowledge and familiarity with USCA policies and procedures, as well as the higher education landscape, particularly in the State of South Carolina; experience working in a marketing or business-related function with emphasis on stakeholder communication, process improvement, and project management; and knowledge of publication production and new media are preferred. Minimum Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in a business or communication discipline is required and at least one year of related experience.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in a marketing or business-related function with emphasis on stakeholder communication, process improvement, and project management. Knowledge of publication production and new media are preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
The job requires the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent oral and written communications skills and interpersonal skills are required. Computer literacy, specifically word processing, is required. The ability to develop knowledge of, respect for, and skills to engage with those of other cultures or backgrounds is required.
