The Business School has an opening for a full-time University Staff (unclassified) Executive Programs Marketing Manager position.

The Marketing Manager is key member of the D2 programs and Business School and would liaise directly with the Business School and main University Communications to ensure promotion of programs as well as supporting existing larger school and college marketing efforts.
Jobs in this career family involve development, marketing and management of messaging to both internal and external parties. Functions include marketing; advertising; communications; publications; brand management; writing; editing; proofreading; graphic design; web information architecture, development and design; web content development; electronic communications; social media; news media/relations; public relations; photography; videography; radio/television broadcasting; FCC compliance; and communication projects management.
Supervision Received
Reports directly to the Executive Programs Director, with accountability to the Global Energy Management Program and to Executive Director of the J.P. Morgan Center for Commodities (JPMCC).
Nature of Work
The Marketing Manager is responsible for day-to-day execution of all marketing and communications efforts for the Executive Programs, GEM Program and JPMCC. This position will be primarily responsible for creating marketing and communications plans, developing content, deploying messages through identified channels, and measuring their effectiveness.. He/she will have primary responsibility for creating marketing plans, developing content, deploying messages through identified marketing communications channels and measuring the effectiveness of paid social and digital advertising effectiveness for the Business School. The position will also work on recruitment messaging recruiting students through the campus customer relationship management (CRM) systems
Examples of Duties Performed
90% – Digital Marketing & Communications
- Developing a strategic marketing and communications plan for the Executive Programs, GEM Program and JPMCC while contributing to day-to-day operations. This includes effectively targeting the Programs and Center’s primary audiences, setting objectives, creating campaigns and messaging, allocating budget, and evaluating and measuring outcomes.
- Building and maintaining the Programs’ and Center’s social media presence to reach prospective students and the Denver and global communities via Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and other platforms.
- Implementing digital advertising strategies to include lead generation, for reaching targeted audiences of the Executive Programs, GEM Program and JPMCC, including the design, deployment, and monitoring of advertising campaigns.
- Working collaboratively with the Business School marketing team on internal tracking and reporting of analytics and budgets associated with both organic social media efforts and paid advertising campaigns, monitoring changes in marketplace trends, and adjusting campaign tactics accordingly.
- Manage individual program budgets for strategic adverstising and lead generation
- Optimizing the Programs’ and Center’s websites and blogs (content creation, media management, general updates)
- Create and develop engagement strategey around stakeholder communications including; newsletters to the Programs and Center’s primary audiences (Alumni, Advisory Council, Faculty, and global community), and social media outreach
- Write, design, edit, and update marketing materials and emails for the recruitment of prospective students. Email campaigns will be developed, managed, and tracked using a combination of Slate and Salesforce
- Write, design, edit, and update marketing/promotional materials for all events, speaker series, the executive in residence, cohort weekends, and graduation
- Attending additional Programs and Center activities and events
- Collaborate with recruiters to develop innovative tactcs for attracting students to the all programs, through promotional materials and outreach- lead generation
- Create necessary marketing materials for graduate and professional educational offerings, conferences and GCARD publication
- Manage messaging, including emails, text messaging, and event planning for student recruitment efforts
- Keep email messages current, optimized for optimum open and click-through rates, and successful in encouraging prospective graduate students
10% – Organizational Support
- Provide executive support to the Executive Directors (ED) of the GEM Program and JPMCC , as well as the Director of Executive Programs on outreach projects such as fundraising collateral
- Providing team support for event logistics and day-of programming, production calendars
Salary and Benefits:
The salary range (or the hiring range) for this position has been established at $63,000- $85,000 and is commensurate with skills and experience.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Business Administration, Management or a related field
- Minimum of three of professional experience, which includes the following:
- Writing and developing marketing content
- Creating, and delivering multi-channel marketing initiatives
- Experience managing social media efforts for a company or organization including posting in an official capacity on platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn to drive lead generation
- Experience managing multiple projects
Preferred Qualifications
- 5 plus years experience in lead generation and/or brand awareness
- Experience in managing multiple projects
- Experience using marketing, CMS, and CRM platforms such as Salesforce Pardot, WordPress, Constant Contact, Drupal, and Mailchimp
- Experience using digital advertising platforms including Google AdWords, Facebook Ads Manager, and LinkedIn Campaign Manager
- Experience in a higher education environment
- Experience in Energy and Healthcare sectors
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to develop strategic marketing plans that generate measurable engagement and advance all programs’ recruitment and visibility goals
- Strong knowledge and proficiency in design programs, HTML, and content management systems, such as WordPress, Canva, Drupal, Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, Sprout Social, and Google tools
- Strong knowledge of and proficiency in social media platforms and the ability to optimize social media presence to improve brand positioning
- Ability to collaborate and coordinate with both internal and external stakeholders
- Strong project management experience
- Ability to develop training aids and instruction for partners
- Proficiency in Mac environment preferred
- Ability to work under little supervision
