Job Overview

The Marketing Manager produces strategic marketing efforts for the Georgetown University School of Continuing Studies located in Chinatown in downtown D.C. They play a key role on the Marketing team by managing marketing plans and tactics for assigned programs across digital and traditional channels for both internal and external audiences.

One of their primary responsibilities involves the development of a strong advisory partnership with internal clients; and in coordination with the Executive Director of Marketing and Director of Program Marketing, they manage prospective student marketing and communications and executes school-wide and department-level tactics.

Work Interactions

  • Executive Director of Marketing and Director of Program Marketing - meetings to determine marketing strategy
  • Other Members of the Marketing Team - as needed for various projects
  • Faculty Directors, Program Staff - meetings and updates, advertising proof approvals
  • External Marketing Agency - management of media placement and design approvals

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • At least 3 to 5 years of professional marketing experience, including advertising, media planning, and/or brand management
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills, with strong attention to detail
  • Superior organizational skills and ability to prioritize projects and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent client service skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Willingness and availability for travel to campuses, conferences, and recruitment events

Preferred qualification

Experience with CRM and CMS platforms, particularly Marketo and Salesforce
