Position Summary:
In close collaboration with the Director, the Marketing Manager, Adult and Professional Education Marketing, develops and implements strategic marketing campaigns for a portfolio of online non-credit professional education programs. The Marketing Manager works closely with partner agencies to manage media buys and campaigns, as well as ensure campaigns are on schedule and all required assets are delivered. The Marketing Manager collaborates with the Adult and Professional Education Marketing team to maximize campaigns across all media available. This position will partner with the communications, admissions, enrollment and corporate development teams in the College of Professional Studies and the Office of Online Programs to identify marketing and communications opportunities and needs. The Marketing Manager will help to develop and maintain reports to track key campaign metrics and performance. The Marketing Manager must be able to analyze data from various sources and extract actionable takeaways and insights. This position collaborates with staff across the University Communication and Marketing department as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Supports the Director with developing and implementing strategic marketing campaigns for a portfolio of online non-credit professional education programs. The Marketing Manager will work closely with partner agencies to manage media buys and campaigns, as well as ensure campaigns are on schedule and all required assets are delivered.
  • This position collaborates with the Adult and Professional Education Marketing team, as well as communications, admissions, enrollment and corporate development teams in the College of Professional Studies to identify marketing and communications opportunities and needs.
  • The Marketing Manager helps to develop and maintain reports to track key campaign metrics and performance. The Marketing Manager must be able to analyze data from various sources and extract the actionable takeaways and insights.
  • Performs other duties and assists with projects as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 4+ years of hands-on digital marketing and project management experience.
  • The individual must have proven expertise in digital marketing and in executing paid, social and SEO strategies in addition to demonstrated lead generation experience/success (higher ed preferred).
  • He/She/They must be highly proficient in all associated standard computer applications and operating systems, including Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and other digital marketing analytics and online project management systems.
  • Must be a team player with strong writing, interpersonal, organizational and planning skills.
  • Must be a flexible, upbeat, energetic self-starter who enjoys collaboration and building relationships with a wide variety of constituencies.
  • Must be able to handle multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced, multifaceted environment.

  • Must be capable of operating standard office equipment.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or advertising is preferred.
  • Master’s degree a plus.
  • Experience within a higher education or sophisticated non-profit environment is preferred.
  • PC and MAC platforms; server technology.
Physical Requirements and/or Unusual Work Hours:
Must have the ability to work evenings, weekends, and possibly holidays as the demands of the job dictate.
