Job Overview

Responsible for the development/implementation of marketing plans, public relations, advertisements, community outreach, and special projects. This position will support the following functions across all programs in the IDD Education Center.

  • Develop, coordinate, implement and revise marketing plans and promotional materials.
  • Assess, develop and coordinate public relations campaigns.
  • Monitor, track and evaluate results; recommend changes for social media campaigns, information sharing systems, and events.
  • Compile, update and report marketing data related to advertising and marketing programs.
  • Assist with the design, layout and writing of print materials.
  • Prepare/submit for approval budget and quarterly revision.
  • Determine program schedules, deadlines, etc.
  • Perform related duties based on departmental need.
  • Manage social media presence including creating and posting relevant information.
  • Manage all aspects of annual fundraiser including soliciting sponsors, acquiring donations, overseeing logistics, and communicating event details.
  • Provide program support with events, volunteers, and community outreach, including recruitment of student workers

Essential Functions
  • Develop, coordinate, implement and revise marketing plans and promotional materials.
  • Develop customer and department profiles; plan ads and media mix.
  • Assess, develop and coordinate public relations campaigns.
  • Monitor, track and evaluate results; recommend changes.
  • Compile, update and report marketing data related to advertising and marketing programs.
  • Assist with the design, layout and writing of print materials.
  • Prepare/submit for approval budget and quarterly revision.
  • Recommend cost containment proposals where applicable.
  • Coordinate/evaluate bidding process regarding advertising and promotional materials.
  • Monitor progress/quality of bid packages.
  • Ensure student artists meet quality and style work standards.
  • Determine program schedules, deadlines, etc.
  • Perform related duties based on departmental need.

Required Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Education, Graphic Arts, Liberal Arts, Marketing or related filed.
  • Five (5) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.

Required Experience

One (1) year of experience in development and implementation of marketing and/or advertising plans.

 

 


Additional Qualifications Considered
  • Fundraising and Development experience.
  • Experience with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment
  • Office environment/no specific unusual physical or environmental demands.
