The Opportunity:

The Marketing Coordinator I works to increase the visibility of UCF HR and the Administration and Finance (A&F) division by assisting in the design, implementation, and maintenance of marketing plans and strategies, and creating, managing, and distributing compelling, compliant, timely, and accurate print and digital content. Cultivates strategic partnerships with departments, employees, and community members through public relations, writing, social media, and email marketing. Assists with the coordination, administration, and management of various projects within the division.

Responsibilities:

  • Assists in creating, developing, and implementing marketing campaigns, plans, and content; focusing on digital and social media initiatives for UCF HR and A&F Division units, to encourage employee engagement and increase online followers.

  • Conducts regular audits for social media and websites to apply up-to-date technologies and trends; ensures compliance with ADA and other guidelines; follows best practices for social media marketing; and follows UCF and other style guides to ensure consistency in our print and digital brand content across different platforms.

  • Prepares, maintains, and edits/updates print and digital content including, but not limited to, ads, blog articles, graphics, job/training aids, mass emails, newsletters, videos, web pages, etc.

  • Manages strategic forecasts and executes accounting processes related to initiatives. Coordinates marketing strategies, performance, and optimization for UCF marketing campaigns.

  • Coordinates university partner relationships invested in UCF, including participating in meetings and providing marketing consultation as needed. Assists with organizing, implementing, and evaluating large events and communicating with vendors to facilitate logistics of events.

  • Coordinates and assists with schedule management, travel arrangements, and equipment; providing budgetary advice and coordination support as needed.

  • Other duties for UCF HR and A&F Division units as assigned by HR’s Marketing and Communications Specialist.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree and 0+ years of relevant experience. Or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219(6)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in digital and social media marketing.

  • Familiarity with ADA compliance and best practices.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in graphic design/content creation tools.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in drafting and editing written business communications, including emails, letters, and news items for publication.

  • Experience working in Microsoft Teams and website editing platforms.

  • Experience working in, or closely with, Human Resources.

  • Experience working in Higher Education and/or the public sector.

  • Experience providing exceptional customer service to a variety of stakeholders across departments and levels of the organization.

  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple, concurrent assignments in a fast-paced environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while contributing to a cooperative work environment.

Special Instructions to the Applicants:

Visiting positions are based on circumstances, such as funding sources, which control the length of time for which the position is available. Position will be renewable up to a period of four years.

This position is hybrid and requires that the final selected candidate reside in the state of Florida by the time of hire.
