The Kirwan Institute for the Study of Race and Ethnicity is seeking to hire a part-time marketing and communications specialist to design and post materials to the current Kirwan Institute website and social media channels. This position requires experience with WordPress and designing eye-catching images that link to online RSVP and event management resources. Strong writing skills, attention to detail, and experience meeting tight deadlines are a must for this position, as is working with a wide variety of online platforms, including Canva, Constant Contact, Google Forms, Microsoft products, and WordPress. This is a temporary position expected to last a minimum of six months and a maximum of 12 months while the Kirwan Institute invests in an upgrade of its marketing and social media infrastructure. For 20 years the Kirwan Institute has been a premier research institution that connects communities, policymakers, and researchers to examine allocations of resources and opportunities to communities at the local, state, and federal levels.

Required: HS diploma or Associates degree. Applicants must meet educational requirements or have equivalent experience with content creation for a research institute.

Desired: Bachelors degree. Preference will be given to candidates with a bachelor's degree in a field related to the research Kirwan produces (e.g, education, planning, psychology, sociology) or a field related to the job duties (e.g. communications, marketing, public relations, web design).


Additional Information:

The target hiring range for this job profile is $19.52 - $26.04 The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limit to, education, years of experience, internal equity, etc
