You will craft and execute innovative marketing and communications plans, ensuring their effectiveness in boosting student enrollment, retention, and graduation rates. Collaborating with key leaders in our degree programs and main campus partners, you will foster seamless communication to support the College's goals.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Develop, manage, and implement contemporary and compelling marketing and communications strategies to highlight the College initiatives, students, research, donors, and alumni.
  • Foster effective communication between the University and its students, employees, alumni, and the public in order to advance the University’s strategic vision.
  • Develop and manage the annual strategic marketing plan that aligns with the College of Nursing and UA strategic goals, to include messages that will motivate prospective students to engage with the UA College of Nursing.
  • Expand digital and social media presence to enhance student recruitment efforts, promote our research, and grow the overall College of Nursing reputation at a national level.
  • Generate and produce all student recruitment materials.
  • Manage Search Engine Marketing (SEM) and other marketing tools to support the College’s student recruitment, enrollment efforts and brand recognition.
  • Utilize a high degree of innovation and creativity to develop effective online, electronic and print ads, collateral, direct mail/email, web, and video strategies.
  • Create, develop, and produce the monthly Newsletter, as well as the annual UA College of Nursing Magazine.
  • Manage the marketing and communications budget and collaborate with key departments allocating the marketing budget dollars strategically, dividing resources between advertising initiatives, recruitment efforts, and other essential marketing and communications activities. 
  • Develop and deliver marketing analytics-based reports and timelines for accomplishing the set priorities.
  • Develop and manage the print and promotional products.
  • Collaborate with College of Nursing Learning & Healthcare Technology Innovation team on web design and content.
  • Facilitate and assist with live events, including tasks such as event operations, photo/video management, etc.
  • Participate in College committees, as well as campus-wide Marketing and Communication Councils and Committees.
  • Manage and oversee press releases, as well as public and media requests.
  • Supervise others.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of and proficiency with social media platforms, strategy, and management.
  • Strong marketing and media content creation skills.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Organization skills, including strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
  • Knowledge of social, digital, email, and web communication platforms and how to successfully engage online audiences.
  • Knowledge of Customer Relationship Management (CRM), such as Trellis and Slate. 
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required. 
  • Minimum of (8) years of relevant work experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience. 
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in higher education.
  • Experience working in a Health Sciences environment.
  • Experience with project management.
  • Experience in working with Customer Relationship Management (CRM), e.g., Trellis, Slate, etc.
  • Experience with Facebook and YouTube Ad Managers.
  • Adobe Creative Suite, Marq or Canva experience.
  • Experience with direct response marketing tactics and techniques, including online advertising and email.
  • Experience leading, supervising, or directing the work of employees.
