Job Summary

The University Program Board is a function of the Dean of Students Office, providing large-scale social events for the campus community with a focus on students. The Marketing and Communications Coordinator will be responsible for all promotion of events and the University Program Board’s general branding on all media outlets including, but not limited to, social media, poster and flier distribution, and press releases.

RESPONSIBILITIES
•Develop the University Program Board (UPB) brand and overall message to be shared.
•Work directly with UPB Event Coordinators to review marketing and promotion plans for each event.
•Oversee distribution of general marketing materials.
•Maintain positive and strategic relationships with all media outlets.
•Manage UPB website and develop all social media posts.
•Work alongside the Student Activities Student Graphic Designer.
•Create and distribute press releases related to UPB.
•Assist with four (4) large-scale events each semester.
•Assist with major concerts.
•Attend one-on-one meetings with supervisor and team meetings.
•Hold six (6) office hours each week, which may vary depending on workload.
•Create, maintain, and update resources for contacts and information.


Pay Rate

$14.50-$15.00/hour


Required Qualifications

• Undergraduate student enrolled through May 2025.
• Available to work some evenings, which may include weekends.
• All student employees in the Dean of Students Office must maintain good academic (min. 2.5 cumulative GPA) and student conduct standing from the point of application through term of employment. The employer will check status at the beginning and the end of each semester of employment.

Work Hours

This position requires approximately 8 hours per week but will vary depending on events. Will require some nights, which may include weekends. The position is continuous May 2024 – May 2025.
