Job Summary
Manages computer systems and technology related responsibilities for the College of Law (COL) in compliance with applicable local, state, and federal laws, and Cleveland State University (CSU) and college accreditation standards. In collaboration with the Associate Dean and Law Library Director develops short- and long-term strategic planning for COL systems. Ensures the provision of information technology services to facilitate administrative operations, classroom instruction, distance education programs, and Law Library services. Manages and supervises assigned personnel. Performs other functionally related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in information systems, computer science or related field.
  • Three (3) years of supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Experience with Window/Unix (Linux) server administration; database programming/development and administration; Windows Domain and Active Directory administration; hardware/software technical support.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree preferably in information systems, computer science, or related field.
  • Prior work experience in technology use and development in an institution of higher education.
  • Technology training experience.
  • Relevant software and/or hardware certifications.
  • Significant supervisory experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
  • Knowledge of PC applications and operating systems in a network environment;
  • Knowledge of HTML and web page creation and management.
  • Skilled in project management
  • Knowledge of distance learning systems.
  • Experience with industry standard multimedia software and media systems, and equipment for various media formats.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Ability and desire to work effectively with faculty, students, and staff in a collegial and effective manner
  • Ability to take ownership of projects, anticipate department needs and develop appropriate responses, meet deadlines, attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and be a quick and continuous learner.
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks and respond to changing circumstances.
  • Ability to manage and troubleshoot technology related issues.
