You mentor and provide expert guidance fostering knowledge-sharing to build expertise among department application administrators and super users. You champion strategic planning for technology evolution, balancing innovation and creativity with standards and best practices. You achieve results by working across boundaries and collaborating with cross-functional teams, academic departments, and key stakeholders to understand their technology needs and align solutions with UAF’s goals. You use lean concepts to promote a culture of continual improvement, identifying opportunities for optimization, efficiency, and effectiveness.

Minimum Qualifications:

Master’s degree in computer science or a relevant field and seven years of progressively responsible experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience may be accepted.

A valid driver's license and clean driving record in compliance with UA Safe Driving Criteria is required.

Position Details:

This position is located on the UAF campus in Fairbanks. This is a full-time, exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package . UA provides a generous compensation package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental and vision care coverage. New hires will be placed on the UA staff salary schedule , Grade 84 (IS Professional 4), based on education and experience.
