Manager, Staff and Student Recruiting Office

This position is responsible for overall leadership of the Staff and Student Recruiting Office, which provides professional assistance across BYU campus regarding recruiting and selecting of full-time staff, part-time staff, and student employees. This position also maintains recruiting practices that are compliant with federal and state regulations.

What you'll do in this position: 

  • Manage a team of full-time and part-time employees. 
  • Provide leadership on the BYU and HRS mission, vision, and values.
  • Provide vision and strategic direction in alignment with the university's strategic objectives.
  • Develop and promote the BYU employment brand.
  • Oversee university recruiting efforts and work to attract diverse and qualified applicants.
  • Build and maintain customer focused relationships with departments and understand unique recruiting needs.
  • Direct changes to recruiting policies and procedures.
  • Advise campus departments on university policy, human resource law, and regulations.

What qualifies you for this role:

Required

  • A firm commitment to the mission of BYU.
  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field, plus 5 years of HR experience or the equivalent combination of education and work experience. 

Preferred

  • Master's degree in HR, Business, or related field.
  • 5 years of human resources experience.
  • HR certification (SHRM-SCP, SHRM-CP, HRCI SPHR or PHR)
  • Recruiting experience.
