Reporting to the Associate Director of Athletics for Event Operations, the primary role of the Manager of Event Operations is to support Princeton's 37 varsity teams through game day management, assist with the coordination of University events, manage football tailgates, review emergency action plan and the athletics scheduling calendar, assist in the management of the daily operations and work order requests of athletic facilities and provide assistance on special projects.



• Oversee assigned events as the game day operations manager.
• Ensure that officials are scheduled and confirmed for all events/responsible for all payment of officials through ArbiterPay.
• Hire, train, schedule and pay event staff including clock operators, goal judges, ushers, ticket takers and sellers.
• Coordinate locker room assignments for all events.
• Arrange transportation and parking for all events.
• Coordinate parking for teams, spectators and officials with the Service Point for all events.
• Communicate event needs to dining services.
• Meet regularly with groups supporting athletic events to coordinate all game day details. Areas include, ticketing, marketing, communications, compliance, athletic trainers and facilities.
• Provide game day operational guides for distribution to all visiting teams, officials & parent tailgates

• Participate in the annual review of Emergency Action Plan for athletic facilities in collaboration with the office of Environmental Health and Safety, Risk Management, Fire Marshalls and Public Safety.
• Routinely review EMS (University Athletic Scheduling Calendar) to prepared for upcoming events. Assist with scheduling when the Athletic Scheduler is out of the office.
• Assist managing the daily operations of Jadwin Gymnasium and Bubble under the supervision of the Assistant Director of Operations including: ensure all facility policies and procedures are enforced; record keeping of all monies collected from indoor tennis usage; assist with the coordination and oversight of all recreational and rental groups.
• Work closely with facilities placing work requests to the appropriate department.

• Assist in preparing budgets and coordinating all operational aspects of running all post- season championship events for the NCAA, ECAC and Ivy League.
• Assist in the coordination of University events such as Alumni Day, Community Day, Staff Recognition Day, Class Day and Prom as assigned.
• Manage all aspects of Football Tailgates.
• Complete both internal and external invoices utilizing accurate athletic chart strings.
• Provide assistance on special projects as assigned.
• Adhere to Ivy League, ECAC and NCAA rules and regulations.



• Bachelor's degree.
• Multi-tasker, self-starter, independent worker and thinker, and must serve as an outstanding representative of the University in contact with the general public and other education-based groups.
• A high degree of proficiency for writing and communication skills is essential to the success of the job.
• Must have strong work ethic including organizational skills and have the ability to perform functions with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple assignments and changing priorities.
• Work irregular hours including evening, weekends and holidays as needed.
• 1-3 years’ experience in Event Management required.
• First Aid, SPR and AED Certifications.
