Summary of Duties:

The responsibilities of this position encompass a wide variety of administrative and supervisory duties including management of day to day operations and provides oversight for Cougar Athletic Fund’s gift accounting and internal operations staff supervision, events strategy, policies and procedure development, implementation, and oversight, and serves as a liaison with marketing and promotions, tickets, the WSU Foundation and assists with strategic planning and assessment. Ensures consistent enforcement and execution of policies, procedures, and proper risk management practices.


Additionally, this position is responsible for the results of the Cougar Athletic Fund’s stewardship programs, related to the unit’s $15 million Endowment and is responsible for creation and execution of all Cougar Athletic Fund policies related to gift processing and event accounting reconciliation. The stewardship programs include, and is not limited to, Leadership Circle of donors with annual gifts of $10K and greater, Champions Circle with annual gifts of $25K and greater, and $100,000 plus major gift donors, in coordination with the Deputy Athletic Director and CAF staff.


Attend necessary CAF, Office of Intercollegiate Athletics, and WSU Foundation meetings as needed.


Required Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in a field related to the functional managerial area which has included at least one (1) year of supervisory experience. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.

  • This position will be required to work evenings and weekends work, including occasional travel.

  • Must have, or able to obtain, a valid driver’s license by time of hire.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience working with Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet, E-mail, database systems and mainframe computer systems with administrative projects.

  • Experience working within higher education setting.

  • Experience working within an intercollegiate athletic department.

  • Work experience that demonstrates ability to manage multiple tasks and perform sound

  • decision-making.

  • Work experience that demonstrates successful fiscal processing.
