The OU College of Medicine seeks an Administrative Manager for Community Partnerships to join the team implementing a newly funded medical student education project to expand outreach and recruitment of community preceptors and assist with creating a pipeline program to increase primary care physicians serving tribal, rural, and medically underserved communities in Oklahoma. This is a grant funded position; funding is through a multiyear grant with funding each year conditional upon availability of funds and progress. OU employees appointed to positions funded in part or in whole by a grant are expected to use all earned paid leave during the specified period of their appointment. 

The Administrative Manager for Community Partnerships provides overall coordination of the components of the Community Partnerships project and will report to the Faculty Director for Community Partnerships and the Associate Dean for Clinical Curriculum. Project components could include outreach, recruitment, network building, relationship management, and onboarding of preceptors. This is a high visibility position as the Administrative Manager will work with both external community partners as well as internal stakeholders including executive leadership, teaching faculty, clinical faculty, staff and students. Some calendar and travel coordination will be required. Travel may also be required.

Duties:

  • Manages the daily operations of a community outreach program team
  • Supports Faculty Director of Community Partnerships with administrative tasks
  • Coordinates outreach efforts with community, tribal, and internal partners
  • Manages onboarding paperwork and affiliation agreements from community partner sites
  • Serves as interface on interactions with industry, community, and tribal partners
  • Assists grant team, provides oversight.
  • Designs and develops instructional and promotional materials, works with central marketing.
  • Hosts visiting groups.
  • Collects event and outreach data, conducts analysis, prepares reports as needed.
  • Performs various other duties as necessary to successfully fulfill the function of the position.
 

Job Requirements

Required Education: Bachelor's Degree in related field AND:

  • 18 months in community outreach related experience.

Preferred: Master's degree in related field and additional 12 months management/supervisory or leadership of community programs.

Departmental Preferences:

  • Motivated individual to work closely with a faculty director in building and leading a new team.
  • Prefer 24 months of past experience in administrative management, community programming or outreach, and/or contracting.
