Recommended hiring range is $140,000 to $155,600. Commensurate with experience.  
This position is a key member of the HR Benefits Information Systems (BIS) leadership team, planning and directing the work of Business Systems Analysts (BSAs) with varying levels of experience and expertise, as well as personally leading cross-functional teams to implement projects.
The BIS team works closely with external vendors and the internal IT services team to design, test, implement and support the business-facing and customer-facing applications used by the Retirement Administration Service Center (RASC) to administer the UC Retirement System, and sending files to and receiving files from roughly two dozen external vendors.
The team also acts as the business analyst liaisons for other HR, University health & welfare, benefits professionals and payroll business owners and the technical teams. Additionally, the team provides data reporting and data warehouse support related to retirement, employment, and health & welfare enrollment to multiple University Office of the President (UCOP) and campus groups and other entities via public records requests.
The position receives assignments in the form of objectives, understands the goals of the department, and the processes by which to meet them, and exercises judgment within defined procedures, policies, and department protocols to determine appropriate actions.  
Successful completion of a background check is required for appointment to this critical position.
