Starting from an initial focus on facilitating student participation in internships, the College now requires this position to address a much larger purpose. Acknowledging faculty and experience providers¿ competing priorities and student inexperience in advocating for their own professional development, this position plays a central role in aligning professional experience, experiential education mentorship, and student advocacy with portable and durable professional competency development and with the narration of those experiences in ways that are relevant to a variety of professional paths. Tasked with playing a stronger role in furthering college priorities, this position administers a $500,000 annual professional experience budget.
