PURPOSE

The Manager, Event Services is responsible for overseeing all aspects of facilities operations related to events – including finance, ticketing, and marketing – with a customer-forward outlook with external and internal clients.

DESCRIPTION

The Manager, Event Services is responsible for overseeing all aspects of marketing and box office operations for the Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi Preforming Arts Center (PAC), including developing marketing campaigns for PAC events, ticket sales and support, budgets and managing and scheduling student workers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Functional Area 1: Administrative (Marketing)

Percent Effort: 50%

  • Develop and implement comprehensive multi-channel marketing campaigns for PAC events.

  • Develop/enhance social media presence of the PAC to increase ticket sales.

  • Maintain data sets for marketing purposes.

Functional Area 2: Support (Box Office Operations)

Percent Effort: 40%

  • Utilize ticketing information for enhancing ticket sales.

  • Respond to customers regarding ticket sales.

  • Schedule student box office staff.

  • Create shows in ticketing system/liase with third party ticketing vendor.

  • Work with IA staff on budget oversight and tracking.

  • Prepare purchasing/invoicing/billing documents.

Functional Area 3: Other

Percent Effort: 10%

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Assist with Providing Support for Institutional Advancement Events

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Marketing or closely related field.

  • Five (5) years of related experience.

  • Additional education/experience may be considered as a substitute for minimum qualification requirements: Associate's degree and seven (7) years of related experience or Master's degree and three (3) years of related experience.

  • Knowledge of ticketing systems, cash-handling procedures, accounting, office software, social media, marketing principles especially in regard to electronic platforms.

  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).

WHAT THEY WOULD LIKE TO SEE

  • Five or more years of related experience in events management.

SALARY: $50,000 - $54,000/annually, approximately.

  • $4,166.67 - $4,500/monthly, approximately.
  • Salary is dependent upon education and/or experience.
