Harborview Medical Center - Environmental Services has an outstanding opportunity to hire a MANAGER OF ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES.

WORK SCHEDULE


  • 40 hours per week, Evening Shift

  • POSITION HIGHLIGHTS
  • Responsible for managing all areas within the scope of Environmental Services including cleaning and disinfecting, waste management, linen services, integrated pest management, and room set-up
  • Be a part of a team dedicated to supporting UW Medicine where Patients Are First

  • PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop operational processes and manage day-to-day operations of staff, vendors and internal stakeholders to achieve continuity of services
  • Interpret policies, procedures, schedules and regulations related to cleaning and sanitation to ensure compliance with high standards of patient safety and patient care
  • Implement plans specific to patient care areas to ensure compliance with standards of infection control and Harborview’s mission for quality patient care
  • Work closely with department managers in the patient care areas to coordinate Environmental Services' activities, schedules, and expectations
  • Assist Director with plans, budgets, policies, procedures, and strategies for maintaining excellence in patient care and housekeeping services in patient care areas
  • Interview, hire, and evaluate the performance of assigned staff; train supervisory staff and recommend corrective action; plan, assign, and review the work of direct reports

  • REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field
  • Three to four years of management experience, preferably in a hospital setting
  • Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except with there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration
