Job Summary/Basic Functions

The Manager of Environmental Health and Safety will provide EHS leadership in support of the University's mission of providing high-quality instruction, scholarship, and service toward excellence. The work environment includes outdoor exposure to dirt, dust and hazardous chemicals. The incumbent would also need to be able to lift 25lbs or greater.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Certification or graduation from a four-year university.

Experience: - At least five years of experience in Environmental Health and Safety.

Licensure & Certifications: HAZWOPER, ASP, CSP, CHMM
ASBESTOS, LEAD, KEPSC,

Job Duties:

  • 40% - Develop Programs and Policies to facilitate compliance with all applicable laws and recommended standards. - ()
  • 40% - Oversee Day to Day EHS Departmental Operations Regarding Compliance with Environmental and Occupational Health & Safety Regulations and Standards. - ()
  • 10% - Hazardous Waste Management - ()
  • 5% - Maintain Federal/State/Local Reports - ()
  • 5% - Other Duties as Assigned - ()
