The Manager, Development Communications (A) supports the development and execution of the department’s communications strategy in furtherance of the organization’s mission and goals. Moreover, Manager, Development Communications (A) collaborates with other departments to ensure a unified message.

CORE JOB FUNCTIONS                 

1. Constructs and deploys daily eblasts, ensuring their effectiveness and alignment with the organization’s goals. 

2. Conducts thorough testing of emails for functionality and adherence to quality standards.

3. Optimizes email designs and layouts for desktop and mobile devices, incorporating best practices for email marketing.

4. Implements optimization strategies for email campaigns based on analytical insights, including A/B testing.

5. Utilizes email marketing metrics to enhance campaign performance, focusing on improving key indicators such as open and click rates.

6. Develops and implements new email templates within Salesforce Marketing Cloud, improving communication efficiency.

7. Collaborates on email campaign reporting, analyzes data to refine strategies and boost future engagements.

8. Manages and optimizes online forms and surveys for Development and Alumni Relations, enhancing user interaction.

9. Stays informed on the latest trends in email and digital marketing, adjusts strategies to maintain cutting-edge approaches.

10. Oversees the maintenance and content management of Development and Alumni Relations web properties, ensuring optimal performance.

11. Creates and executes strategies to boost engagement through web and eblast channels, enhancing user experience.

12. Manages web content updates using HTML and CSS, ensuring the website remains current and effective.

13. Addresses and resolves website issues promptly, maintaining a high level of user satisfaction.

14. Implement and manage website analytics tools, using data-driven insights to improve site engagement and performance.

15. Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS                    

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in relevant field

Experience:

Minimum 3 years of relevant experience. Any relevant education, certifications and/or work experience may be considered.

Knowledge, Skills, and Attitudes:

• Skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail.

• Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines.

• Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion.

• Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary.

• Commitment to the University’s core values.

• Ability to work independently and/or in a collaborative environment.
