What You Will Achieve

Working with Pfizer's dynamic engineering team, you will play a critical role in the management of manufacturing information systems to improve manufacturing success rates and ensuring zero down time.

As a Manager, your planning skills will help in preparing forecasts for resource requirements, and providing areas of improvement for products, processes or services. Through your comprehensive knowledge of principles, concepts and theories of the discipline, you will also work towards advancing new concepts and methodologies. You will be able to take a cross functional leadership role to facilitate agreements between different team.

How You Will Achieve It

  • Identify and lead continuous improvement projects for the automation teams across the site.
  • Develop a standard blueprint for automation systems to enable them to integrate more effectively with future technological advancements and meet regulatory requirements.
  • Identify methods and systems to appropriately cross train throughout the automation organization.
  • Identify platforms and methods to train end users on automation platforms.
  • Lead automation workshops to gain insight from subject matter experts on continuous improvement ideas.
  • Develop standard work around scope workshops for automation projects.
  • Collaborate with project management lead, infrastructure lead, compliance lead, and automation leads to develop standard work and roadmaps for future automation strategies.
  • Develop standard communication to update site leadership and customers on automation advancements and strategies.
  • Develop and foster automation communities without customer organizations.
  • Follow standard operating procedures and standards in a highly regulated environment.
  • Develop standard operating procedures, guidelines, job aids, and training videos and presentations.
  • Identify methods to monitor and trend issues.
  • Lead the IMEx rollout efforts for automation.
  • Leading technology projects and coordinating resources.

Qualifications

Must-Have

  • Applicant must have HS Diploma with 10n years of relevant experience.
  • OR an Associate's degree with 8 years of experience.
  • OR a Bachelor's degree with at least 5 years of experience.
  • OR a Master's degree with more than 3 years of experience.
  • OR a Ph.D. with 0-2 years of experience.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Sharepoint, Teams.
  • Good Organizational skills and can meet project task deadlines.
  • Proven ability to work in team environment and contribute as a team member.
  • Ability to learn new technologies and adapt to change.
  • Ability to communicate technical issues to management and customers in an effective and understandable manner.
  • Experience with writing technical documents, training documentations, software test plans, user requirements, and system design documents.
  • Knowledge of Industrial Control Systems such as Rockwell, Siemens, Wonderware, iFix.
  • knowledge of Computerized Systems, Compliance regulations and standards.
  • Teamwork spirit, good communication skills and training abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal effectiveness and communication skills {written and oral}.
  • Project Management experience.

Nice-to-Have

  • Relevant pharmaceutical experience.
  • Vmware and virtualization knowledge
  • Basic networking knowledge
  • Database/Historian knowledge (SQL, AVEVA PI)
  • Six Sigma certification
  • Lean manufacturing experience
  • Relevant pharmaceutical experience.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Office and plant environment. Keyboarding, lifting, standing, bending, walking.

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

  • Weekend and off hours work required, some overtime.
  • Supporting 24/7 operation - on call coverage.
  • Adhere to safe work practices.
  • Some travel.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $93,500.00 to $155,900.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer's Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 12.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
