Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in a related field and four years of related experience in a sports video operations setting. Proficient in online digital coaching video software. Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Grade 10 (Salary).

Position Description:

The Director of Men's Basketball Analytics and Video Technology directs the video and technology operations for the University of Louisville Men's Basketball program. This position maintains the current computer and equipment infrastructure while also progressing the program technologically.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Directs department of one other full-time position and several student assistants responsible for ensuring all video, equipment and technical needs are met for the basketball coaching staff.
  • Coordinates technology operations; setup and shoot footage of all basketball games and practices, compile highlight videos, create videos for digital platforms, produce statistical reports and provide technology setup for game tape review, presentations, game tape exchanges with other college and NBA teams, etc.
  • Oversee maintenance of all basketball technology to ensure equipment is operating properly including but not limited to; diagnosing and resolving computer problems, maintaining media servers, database servers and cloud servers containing large quantities of data, setting up and configuring new hardware and software, etc.
  • Serve as liaison with media equipment companies to keep current on technology as to properly maintain equipment and coordinate the purchase of new equipment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5-8 years of related experience in a college or professional basketball video operations setting.
  • Proficient in Sports code coaching software.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Effective administrative and organizational skills and ability to prioritize time-sensitive tasks and projects according to deadlines.
