Management Intern
Job Description
Provides professional level administrative support to an assigned Access ASU department, assisting with general administration projects, research and analysis, procedural studies, and technical planning. Collaborates with assigned senior staff member in order to gain working knowledge and experience related to department administration.
Days and Schedule:
Monday through Friday and some weekends totaling 20 hours per week.
This Internship program is a 12-month experience that is scheduled to end a year after the start date.

Essential Duties
Serves in an intern capacity for a specified division or program, which may include the following duties and responsibilities:
- Performs tasks related to specific function/program assigned, such as tracking event attendance, development of brochures or other unique projects.
- Conducts independent research of administrative or operational areas specific to the area of assignment.
- Assembles and analyzes statistical data and makes interpretations for application to area of assignment.
- Assists in development of new programs, policies or procedures; coordinates programs as assigned.
- Assists in specialized administrative or technical projects in area of assignment.
- Analyzes procedures and makes recommendations for improvement.
- Maintains databases and prepares reports as needed.

- Operations
- Special Projects
- Data Analysis
- Report Development.
Position will entail working with Access ASU leadership in support of STEM programs at ASU.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field; OR, any equivalent combination of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

- Experience in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
- Experience in planning, organization, coordination of activities.
- Experience in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.

- Experience in the use of personal computer and related software applications.
Working Environment
- Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding, and manipulating a computer mouse.
- Required to stand for varying lengths of time and walk moderate distances to perform work.
- Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling up to 25 pounds.
- Regular activities require ability to quickly change priorities which may include and/or are subject to resolution of conflicts.
- Ability to clearly communicate to perform essential functions.
- Working environment could also include schools, community settings, and other sites where students are present.
