Position Summary

Maintains commercial grade heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems; and performs building maintenance and renovation duties.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Monitors building system management programs to ensure equipment is working appropriately.
  • Physically access and visibly inspects all HVAC equipment to verify proper and efficient operation. Conducts visual inspections of buildings for concerns or needed repairs.
  • Schedules and performs preventative maintenance activities.
  • Troubleshoots, diagnoses and repairs commercial air conditioning and multi-zone heating and cooling systems that incorporate pneumatic, digital and center energy management system control
  • Performs maintenance on facilities, which includes maintenance repair, replacing light fixtures and filters, hanging white boards and other general duties; and assists in completing checklists on building equipment and maintenance.
  • Performs renovation duties, which includes painting, graffiti clean-up, replacing or repairing drywall and ceiling tiles and tile/baseboard removal or installation; assists in wall removal, wall framing with wood and/or metal studs, sheet rocking, taping, texturing and painting as needed and assists with door hanging, glass replacement, concrete pouring and stucco application as needed.
  • Researches, orders, purchases and transports parts and materials to make necessary repairs and complete work orders.
  • Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies, and promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environment practices.
  • Communicates status of various work orders, work in progress, supply balances and observed problem areas to supervisor; and requests inventory parts and supplies.
  • Performs other related duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.
  • Employees are required to comply with safety regulations, procedures, protocols, OSHA standards, and wear personal protective gear if required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Two (2) years of related experience
  • EPA Universal and HVAC Certification
  • This position requires a valid unrestricted Driver's License
