Come join the staff at OU HSC and become a part of Oklahoma's premier research university which leads the state in education and career opportunities. OU HSC is one of only four comprehensive academic health centers in the nation with seven professional colleges. We are currently building world-class institutes for the treatment of diabetes and cancer.

Duties:

  • Picks up and delivers United States Postal Service (USPS) and interdepartmental mail. 
  • Picks up USPS mail by utilizing a state owned motor vehicle. 
  • Delivers mail to various destinations.  
  • May make special mail runs as directed by the supervisor. 
  • Assists in preparation of special mailings. 
  • Sorts and meters incoming and outgoing mail by route and location.
  • Separates outgoing mail by account number for postage. 
  • Maintains state owned motor vehicle, to include but not limited to inspecting the vehicle for engine oil, and brake pressure.  
  • Informs central mail supervisor of any deficiencies. 
  • Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position.
 

Job Requirements

Required Education:  High school Diploma/GED

Certifications/Licenses:  Valid Oklahoma Driver's License in order to drive University vehicles or ability to obtain within 30 days from hire date

Skills:

  • Ability to read and write
  • Excellent driving record
  • Basic computer and math skills
  • Detail oriented for accuracy of data and information

Working conditions:

  • Physical:  Ability to engage in repetitive motions, loading and unloading heavy loads (up to 50 lbs.), stooping, bending, standing, and climbing often and for prolonged periods, performing physically demanding labor,.
  • Environmental:  Working in potentially hazardous conditions, exposure to extreme temperatures and outdoor work in all seasons.
