MIx PROGRAM DIRECTOR, MIT Innovation Initiative ,to work on program management and business development with a focus on the defense acquisitions system and federal small business innovation research opportunities, and support the executive director with creating and implementing the MIx mission innovation strategy.  Will research, create, and lead new MIx mission innovation programs; manage current MIx Mission Innovation programs/initiatives; lead efforts to develop additional sponsored partnerships across the mission innovation community; and conduct research and deliver reports for all MIx Mission Innovation sponsored research programs.  Responsibilities include managing MIx programs from conception through completion or until fully operational, overseeing the allocation of technical and personnel resources, contributing to financial resource allocation discussions, developing and managing relationships with program/project stakeholders and/or vendors, leading the development of strategic plans, and evaluating effectiveness of operational processes; applying and translating advanced data analysis techniques to MIT programs, developing new data collection systems/processes, analyzing and interpreting data and results, and improving data resource availability; presenting reports to senior leadership, analyzing key metrics and trends, and outlining recommended actions; driving consensus on complex matters involving diverse stakeholders; and managing and guiding staff.  May contribute to workforce planning and lead fundraising, business planning, workforce planning, and programming efforts. 


Job Requirements
REQUIRED:  bachelor’s degree; five years’ administration/operations and/or project/program management experience; three years’ relevant experience designing research, gathering and analyzing data, and creating reports; knowledge of defense acquisitions practices, particularly working with small business; and proficiency with technical proposal and report writing.  PREFERRED:  advanced degree, i.e., MBA or MPA; background in research; and experience with federal acquisitions and procurement systems, instructional design, and analytical and financial systems.  Job #20683-10
