Under direction of the Practice Manager, performs a wide variety of patient care activities in support of clinic activity. This includes prioritizing and assisting in patient triage processing, preparation and assistance with patient procedures, administering medications, collecting and preparing laboratory tests, Breath Tests, and patient education. Position requires initiative, ability to prioritize critical demands and the ability to work in a team environment. Other related duties as assigned.

  • Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) issued by the state of California.
  • BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART w/in 6 months of hire date
  • Two (2) years LVN Ambulatory Care experience.
  • Knowledge of Gastroenterology.
  • Knowledge of universal precautions and proper use of body mechanics.
  • Knowledge and experience performing basic nursing outpatient procedures (i.e. taking vital signs, performing EKGs, administering medications, knowledge and skill in administering various immunizations).
  • Knowledge and experience in outpatient care and principles of first aid, including setting up sterile trays, assisting in procedures.
  • Bilingual: Spanish and English.
  • Experience performing breath tests
  • Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
  • Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $69,322 - $86,193 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $33.20 - $41.28

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
