Hours: A1 (32 to 40 hours)

Shift: Nights - 12 hour PM

Primary Purpose:
The Licensed Practical Nurse is responsible for providing to individuals and groups, nursing care requiring the application of basic knowledge of the biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences at the direction of the registered nurse. Demonstrates the

Qualifications

 

Knowledge and Skills necessary to provide nursing care based on the physical, psycho/social, educational, safety, cultural and related patient needs, appropriate to the age of the patients of the clinical population served. Knowledge and Skills:
Education: Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Practical Nursing. Must be currently licensed to practice practical nursing in the State of Ohio. Must hold an OPNES or NAPNES (National Association of Practical Nurses for Education and Services) card certifying proficiency in the Basic Concepts of Pharmacology and Administration of Medications.
Years of Experience: One (1) year of hospital experience within the last two (2) years or successful completion of a refresher course within previous six (6) months.
Required Skills and Knowledge: Demonstrates clinical competence in areas assigned. Ability to establish effective interpersonal relationships, utilize proper channels of communication and maintain confidentiality
