Members of the Liver and Transplant division provide safe, high-quality care for all transplantation candidates which includes their pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative stages of care. The division cares for patients with the highest levels of acuity affording an excellent educational opportunity for our outstanding residents.

Our liver program ranked among the highest in the nation by the Scientific Registry of Transplant Recipients (SRTR) performing 141 liver transplants from July 1, 2022 to June 30, 2023 and looking to surpass that number this year. The liver transplant program was No. 1 in the country, outstripping 149 other programs with a patient survival rate greater than 99% — an accomplishment that has never occurred for a program of our size.
