Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144. Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060. 


Department Information
 

The Kennesaw State University (KSU) Department of Construction Management offers Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Construction Management, a Minor and four undergraduate Certificate Programs.  Housed within the College of Architecture and Construction Management, the Department of Construction Management helps students understand the importance of working in collaboration with Architects and other design professionals.

KSU is located in metro Atlanta, which is the major air and rail hub for the southeastern United States.  Atlanta is the center of the largest construction market in the region and provides excellent internship opportunities for students who prefer to earn while they learn. Job Summary
 

Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for nine-month, full-time, non-tenure track, Limited Term Instructor or Limited Term Assistant Professor of Construction Management faculty positions in the Department of Construction Management with a preferred start date of August 2024.  This position is for work to be performed in the state of Georgia.
 


Responsibilities
 

The Department of Construction Management seeks candidates who strive for excellence in teaching with extensive experience in construction management. Primary responsibilities include:

  • In-person and online teaching of a broad range of courses in construction management at the undergraduate and graduate levels
  • Service to the department which includes attending department and college meetings, working with an enthusiastic community of students and faculty.  There are no expectations for scholarship/research in this position.  

Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.
 


Required Qualifications
 

For Limited Term Instructor

  • A minimum of an earned Master's degree , or the foreign equivalent, in Construction Management, Architectural or Civil Engineering, or a closely related discipline is required.

For a Limited Term Assistant Professor

  • A terminal degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Construction Management, Architectural or Civil Engineering, or a closely related discipline is required.

AND

  • A demonstrated record of a minimum of ten years of previous U.S. construction management experience.
     

Preferred Qualifications
 
  • Experience teaching online or hybrid courses
  • Licenses (PE, NCARB, AIA), certifications (CPC, CCM, CSP), OSHA Authorized Trainer, or advanced education, certification, professional registration, licensure, and other relevant credentials
  • Evidence of teaching and/or professional experience in the following subject areas at the undergraduate or graduate levels:  construction materials and methods, construction safety, construction equipment, construction estimating, construction project scheduling, commercial construction or industrial construction

    Background Check
