Overview of Limited Duration Customer Service Representative

The Registration Customer Service Representative provides a broad range of customer service related activities in support of Office of the Registrar business processes. Promotes registration operations and provides a high level of customer service to internal and/or external customers. Evaluates and processes academic record and enrollment updates in accordance with university regulations. Performs various administrative activities as needed. 
This position has the flexibility to work in a hybrid environment.  
Schedule:  Monday - Friday; 8:00am-4:30pm


Duties and Responsibilities of Limited Duration Customer Service Representative
  • Assist with various Office of Registrar email inboxes as appropriate
  • Assist with incoming phone calls and walk-in customers
  • Preparing enrollment verifications and loan deferments as requested
  • Print academic transcripts as requested
  • Assist with customer service including registrations, drop/adds, withdrawals
  • Process student record updates to include name and address changes
  • Assist with encumbrances (holds and releases)
  • In coordination with the Honor’s College, code honor’s students with appropriate structure in Banner. Update course titles as appropriate for this program
  • Assist with end of term grade collection and follow-up with Faculty when not submitted
  • Assist with grade corrections. Synchronizes PNW Banner and the PWL Banner system
  • Assist with BDMS scanning at the Hammond campus. Duties to include purging files, scanning, indexing, and validating data
  • Assist with special projects and administrative activities. Perform other duties as assigned

Experience of Limited Duration Customer Service Representative
  • 3 years of administrative support within Higher Education and/or customer service in any field is required

Education of Limited Duration Customer Service Representative
  • High school diploma/GED

  • Ability to work effectively with a variety of internal and external constituents
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality
  • As part of the job responsibilities with this position, knowledge of rules and regulations set forth by the NCAA and conference should be maintained, reviewed and practiced to ensure compliance relative to those applicable duties
