Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) (Psychiatry- TCC/NOW)

Job Summary:

Responsible for assessing patient's psycho-social needs and counseling services to individuals, families, and groups.

Location:  Child, Adolescent and Adult Psychiatry - Behavioral Health and Wellness Center

Job Duties:

1.     Counsels patients and families regarding therapies.

2.     Develops and implements treatment plans.

3.     Reviews and modifies treatment plans as needed.

4.     Assesses problems and determines appropriate types and methods of treatment, and implements intervention methodologies according to treatment plans and organizational policies.

5.     Ensures treatment notes are recorded in patients' medical charts in accordance with industry standards and organizational policies.

6.     Makes referrals to case managers as appropriate and refers families to a wide-range of community resources and services that are responsive to the longer term needs of the family.

7.     Develops and maintains strong relationships with community health resources to ensure appropriate patient access after discharge.

8.     May support implementation of community educational programs.

9.     Supports staff members in such areas as counseling, protective services, and family services.

10.  Performs all other duties as assigned.

 

Education:

Master's degree is required. Experience cannot be substituted for degree.

Experience:

Prior experience as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) required. Experience working across patient lifespan from children to adults preferred. Familiarity with treatment interventions for adults with serious mental health conditions preferred.

Additional Licenses and Certifications:

TX state clinical license (LCSW) is required.
