Summary of Job Duties:

The Licensed Certified Social Worker at the Psychiatric Research Institute Northwest Arkansas Clinic will provide indirect clinical services including, but not limited to, Master Treatment Plans and Treatment Plan reviews for the Northwest Arkansas Clinic. In addition, they will be credentialed and paneled with insurance, and, if required due to overbooks, may provide diagnostic assessment, individual therapy, family therapy, group therapy, collateral intervention, and crisis intervention to patients. Direct and indirect clinical services are provided in the office.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Social Work
  • Current and valid license by Arkansas Professional Board - Licensed Certified Social Worker (LCSW)
  • At least one (1) year of behavioral healthcare experience

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of Utilization Review
  • Must have the ability to make decisions related to Medicaid regulations and Master Treatment Plans.
  • Must understand mental health diagnosis and treatment.
  • Knowledge of mental healthcare, Arkansas Medicaid, other private insurance requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two (2) years of Utilization Management mental healthcare experience in an outpatient setting


Additional Information:


Responsibilities:
  • Works directly under the supervision of the Social Work Program Manager to perform daily utilization management tasks with Medicaid and other payors.
  • Responsible for keeping current all pre-authorizations for Medicaid and private insurance current for all providers in the clinic.
  • Will work closely with other Utilization Review Specialists and Managers.
  • Will complete reports related to insurance requirements and audits related to accreditation requirements.
  • Contact clinics via phone calls or letters.
  • Will complete clinical and administrative processes and documentation in compliance with relevant policies and procedures.
  • Will participate in staff meetings, training, supervision, and continuing education activities, as needed, to maintain quality and coordination of care as well as professional licensure and/or certification.
