About the Position


Under minimal supervision, assists in operations of the University Library to ensure all goals and objectives are met. You will participate in the copyright clearance process and create multimedia content focused on information literacy. 


 

What You’ll Do


1. Performs library services functions, which include compiling statistics, reviewing collections and conducting online research as needed or requested.

 

2. Provides overall consultation and troubleshooting services to user groups.

 

3. May develop and deliver library orientations and bibliographic instruction to students, faculty and employees

 

4. Performs other duties as assigned or apparent.

What You Bring to the Table


• Master's degree in library science from an American Library Association (ALA) accredited library college or university. 

• Experience in a library or research environment providing research support and assistance, preferably in a university environment.

• Proven customer service experience required.

• Proven knowledge of library resources and research techniques. 

• Must possess the knowledge, skills and abilities to proficiently conduct various library services, including compiling bibliographies and performing online database searches, as described above.

• Must be able to communicate in written and oral formats to students, faculty and employees to provide support and assistance as it relates to the learning resource center services.

• Must possess the ability to deliver orientations and workshops to students, faculty and employees, as described above.

• Must have a general working knowledge of personal software packages to perform word processing activities, utilize search engines and create and generate spreadsheets.

• Proven ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple processes and activities simultaneously.

Pay Range


The annual pay range for this position is $54,400 (minimum), $81,200 (midpoint), and $108,000 (maximum).*


*Typical hiring range is between the minimum and midpoint of the above pay range. Actual starting base pay may vary based on factors such as education, experience, skills, location and budget.
