The Center for Community and Global Health at Lewis & Clark College invites applications for a full-time, visiting position to begin August 15, 2022. Lewis & Clark College is a private liberal arts college with approximately 2000 undergraduates. The position is a two-year appointment, with renewal for the second year contingent on teaching performance during the first year. Duties include teaching five semester-long undergraduate courses in public health/epidemiology each academic year (in-person) and contributing to the Center for Community and Global Health’s co-curricular programming.

Qualifications

A successful candidate must demonstrate potential for teaching excellence in an undergraduate liberal arts environment. The specific area of expertise is open but must enable the candidate to teach three core courses in the Health Studies minor: Public Health, Statistics, and Epidemiology. The remaining two classes (of the yearly five-course teaching load) should be specialty classes such as Global Health, Social Justice and Public Health, Health Policy and Advocacy, or Public Health Ethics. A Masters Degree in Public Health, Epidemiology or a closely related field is required. A Ph.D. is preferred. Candidates with the potential to contribute to the diversity of the academic community are strongly encouraged to apply.
