Summary

The Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Michigan Dearborn is inviting applications for a LEO Intermittent Lecturer for Summer Term 2024 to teach ME 375 Thermal Fluid Sciences II. The course will be taught online. 

This is expected to be a 33% appointment.

Course Description
Mechanisms of heat transfer processes. Steady state and transient conduction. Numerical methods in conduction. Internal and external flows. Boundary layer theory. Convection heat transfer in internal and external flows. Natural Convection. Heat exchanger theory. Introduction to radiation.


Required Qualifications*

A successful candidate will have expertise in a respective area. Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field is required. A PhD will be considered as a plus. Relevant teaching experience and evidence of teaching excellence are desirable. Candidates will be evaluated based on submitted CV, teaching evaluations, and relevant recommendations.
