Description

Baylor Law seeks applicants for interscholastic advocacy program coaches.  Program areas include moot court, client counseling, negotiations, mediation, mock trial, and transactional law.   

Expressions of interest, especially from candidates who will add to the diversity of our faculty, are welcomed.

This posting is to hire temporary team competition coaches for the 2023-2024 Academic Calendar year for the Law School.  We anticipate multiple hires from this pool.

  • Fall Quarter begins August 21, 2023
  • Winter Quarter begins November 6, 2023
  • Spring Quarter begins February 5, 2024
  • Summer Quarter begins May 6, 2024

The budgeted salary that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position is $2,200.00 per quarter hour.

This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certification, analysis of internal equity, and other business and organizational needs.

Qualifications

Candidates must possess an earned Juris Doctor and evidence of strong academic or advocacy performance in law school, such as a noteworthy ranking or GPA, earned law review membership, or advocacy involvement.  Success with law school competition teams as either a competitor or coach is strongly preferred.  Candidates will be asked to provide a letter of interest, curriculum vitae, transcripts, and a list of three references in the application.
