The Department of Nutrition and Food Sciences at the University of Vermont seeks a Lecturer in Food, Nutrition, and Society. This 9-month, non-tenure track renewable position involves undergraduate teaching, advising and service related to the Nutrition and Food Sciences degree and the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences’ cross-college degree in Food Systems. The effective date of the position is September 1, 2024.
The candidate must have an earned doctoral degree (e.g., Ph.D., Dr.P.H., Sc.D.) in a relevant field such as public health, nutrition, food systems. Candidates with expertise in equity in the food system are encouraged to apply. Teaching responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following courses: Farm to Table: Our Contemporary Food Systems; Human Health in the Food System; Food, Nutrition, and Inequality; Foods for Planetary Health. The department is keenly interested in diversifying its faculty and encourages applicants from diverse backgrounds to apply for this position.
