Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit
The Department of Geography is a teaching and research department located within the College of Arts & Sciences.
Position Summary
This position entails being the primary instructor for 2 introductory human geography courses for the Fall, 2022 semester: GEOG 120. World Regional Geography. A survey of the geographic structure of human activity in major world regions and nations. Emphasizes current developments related to population, urbanization, and economic activity. AND GEOG 121. Geographies of Globalization. This course examines places and the connections between places to build critical understandings of the role of human geographies in global economic, political, social, and cultural systems.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
This position requires a Masters Degree in Geography or similar. Must be show completion of coursework toward Ph.D.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Advanced knowledge in a range of human geographic topics, and prior teaching experience specifically for geography courses.
