Position Overview

The Department of East Asian Languages and Cultures at the University of Kansas invites qualified scholars and professionals to submit applications to a department lecturer pool for a 0.25FTE lecturer in Chinese for the fall 2022 and Spring 2023 semesters, teaching one beginning-level Chinese language course each semester to military personnel at the Command and General Staff College at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. Renewal is possible depending on performance and funding. 

Applications will be accepted till August 10. Candidates will be notified if they are to be invited for interviews after the deadline.

Job Description

.25 FTE Teaching one beginning-level Chinese language course each semester to military personnel at the Command and General Staff College at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas.


Required Qualifications

1) Native or near-native fluency in Chinese;
2) MA in linguistics, TCFL, EALC, or another relevant field;
3) Chinese language teaching experience.
