Boston University School of Law is seeking an excellent and compassionate candidate for a full-time, non-tenure-track, faculty position at the rank of Lecturer in the Academic Enrichment Program.  The Lecturer will work directly with the Director of Academic Enrichment in innovating curriculum to promote student success from Orientation through bar passage. The Lecturer will: 1) support 1L students through tailored legal skills workshops, one‐on‐one academic coaching, and early intervention initiatives; 2) assist in developing and teaching a 2L course designed to support the mastery of analytical and writing skills in a doctrinally-relevant context; and 3) support the law school’s bar success initiatives, including by teaching a section of the Spring 2-credit Bar Skills course and offering workshops and individual mentoring for graduates preparing for the July bar exam. The Lecturer may also be called on to help the Director provide training on best practices in teaching and learning to the full-time and part-time faculty.

Candidates must have a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school. They also must be culturally competent and able to work with people of varying backgrounds and experiences, must have excellent oral and written communication skills, and must have a demonstrated ability to clearly convey complex concepts. Teaching and counseling experiences in a law school setting are preferred. Experience with inclusive pedagogy is a plus. As with all our faculty, we are interested in candidates who will bring an understanding of the experiences of those who have been historically underrepresented in higher education and the legal profession, such as first-generation students, veterans, and BIPOC individuals.
